As the poorest country in Europe and a former part of the Soviet Union, Moldova is widely recognized as being in need of economic renewal. The physical and economic needs in this country can overshadow the deeper spiritual needs of the people who often embrace a cultural identity as Christians despite lacking an understanding of the transformational message of the Gospel.
TeachBeyond English Camps provide the opportunity to help Moldovans develop a skill, speaking English, that will enable them to expand their educational and vocational options in order to better themselves, their community, and their nation. Even more significantly, our camps provide the opportunity for campers to begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ that will impact their present life and into eternity.
Around the world, learning English is often seen as the key to being able to thrive in our modern global economy. Through meeting this demand, English camps are an excellent outreach tool that can provide synergy with local partners by providing a valuable service that brings new connections in the community and exposes many to the Gospel.
Due to the high value based on learning from native English speakers, most of our campers are willing and able to cover the costs associated with their participating. Additionally, local churches are often able to provide finances and/or staffing since these camps are considered a primary outreach ministry of their congregation.
TeachBeyond currently operates English Camps in 10 different countries, with additional locations being added every year. The curriculum and program developed for our English Camps can be adapted to a variety of contexts, including creative access countries as well as locations that are looking for a more formal program.
Even more significantly, our camps provide the opportunity for campers to begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ that will impact their present life and into eternity.
