Sowing Seeds of Joy

Project Description

Sowing Seeds of Joy is a ministry started by James and Chao Wanje to help spread the gospel in the unreached communities in Kenya, while helping provide the local residents with resources they need to stay healthy. Through Sowing Seeds of Joy Kenya, they carry out their passion by focusing on five pillars: Marriage and Family Outreach; Pastoral and Church Leadership Development; Evangelism and Church Planting; Training and Discipleship; Humanitarian Outreach that include Water for Life and Seeds Creation. Along with their counseling services, pastoral and church leadership development, and their humanitarian outreach ministry, the current program that Kingdom Missions Fund is helping support is their soccer ministry. With the fund the ministry has been able to purchase new soccer balls to bring in children and youth from local communities to play, along with meet other Christians and become apart of a loving community. So far, over 400+ youth have been reached who would have not heard the gospel otherwise.

In a community that is unreached, it is smart to give the children a way to come together and play a game of soccer while teaching them the importance of the gospel. For many of these children, it is their first time hearing the good news, and would have not heard it otherwise if it weren't for the work that Sowing Seeds of Joy Kenya is doing.

Sowing Seeds of Joy helps meet the needs of the Kenyan communities through humanitarian and community transformation efforts, children’s ministries, feeding programs, community outreach events, door-to-door evangelism, sports ministry, marriage reconciliation, leadership development, construction, homeless outreach, medical HIV-AIDS/ Malaria Resources & Education, Human trafficking prevention, speaking and prayer walks. Due to all of these programs that are consistently meeting the needs of the people, the soccer ministry will always be a need because it is a children's outreach program.

So far, the children's soccer ministry has reached over 400+ youth just from playing soccer games and teaching them the gospel. There are so many communities in Kenya that are unreached that needs a ministry like the soccer ministry to come in and show the love of Christ to the children while giving them an outlet of joy.

So far, over 400+ youth have been reached who would have not heard the gospel otherwise.

Chicken Farm Brings Sustainable Resources To Impoverished Villages in Pakistan

The main goal of the project is to alleviate poverty & disciple Christian farmers in their faith. The chicken farm we have built is a self-sustaining business for the family who manages it, but it also provides funding for our missionaries who have very limited funding from within Pakistan due to the extreme oppression of Christians there. The Project also impacts the lives of other villagers by providing a point of ready access to the purchase of poultry products.

Training Equips Thai Men as Skilled Workers

Training Equips Thai Men as Skilled Workers

Most of Thailand still today is rural farm land where most families have historically been rice farmers for generations. Yet, at the same time, the urban cities and tourist areas of Thailand are rapidly changing with new educational and job opportunities. This creates a growing gap between Thai men who are uneducated and unskilled to obtain these new skilled jobs. The Foundry is bridging this gap by providing training to obtain skilled jobs that create the opportunity for these men to better provide financially for their family and provide educational opportunities for their children.
