English Camps Meet Physical and Spiritual Needs in Moldova

Teach Beyond

Project Description

As the poorest country in Europe and a former part of the Soviet Union, Moldova is widely recognized as being in need of economic renewal. The physical and economic needs in this country can overshadow the deeper spiritual needs of the people who often embrace a cultural identity as Christians despite lacking an understanding of the transformational message of the Gospel. TeachBeyond English Camps provide the opportunity to help Moldovans develop a skill, speaking English, that will enable them to expand their educational and vocational options in order to better themselves, their community, and their nation. Even more significantly, our camps provide the opportunity for campers to begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ that will impact their present life and into eternity.

Around the world, learning English is often seen as the key to being able to thrive in our modern global economy. Through meeting this demand, English camps are an excellent outreach tool that can provide synergy with local partners by providing a valuable service that brings new connections in the community and exposes many to the Gospel.

Due to the high value based on learning from native English speakers, most of our campers are willing and able to cover the costs associated with their participating. Additionally, local churches are often able to provide finances and/or staffing since these camps are considered a primary outreach ministry of their congregation.

TeachBeyond currently operates English Camps in 10 different countries, with additional locations being added every year. The curriculum and program developed for our English Camps can be adapted to a variety of contexts, including creative access countries as well as locations that are looking for a more formal program.

Even more significantly, our camps provide the opportunity for campers to begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ that will impact their present life and into eternity.

Chicken Farm Brings Sustainable Resources To Impoverished Villages in Pakistan

The main goal of the project is to alleviate poverty & disciple Christian farmers in their faith. The chicken farm we have built is a self-sustaining business for the family who manages it, but it also provides funding for our missionaries who have very limited funding from within Pakistan due to the extreme oppression of Christians there. The Project also impacts the lives of other villagers by providing a point of ready access to the purchase of poultry products.

Training Equips Thai Men as Skilled Workers

Training Equips Thai Men as Skilled Workers

Most of Thailand still today is rural farm land where most families have historically been rice farmers for generations. Yet, at the same time, the urban cities and tourist areas of Thailand are rapidly changing with new educational and job opportunities. This creates a growing gap between Thai men who are uneducated and unskilled to obtain these new skilled jobs. The Foundry is bridging this gap by providing training to obtain skilled jobs that create the opportunity for these men to better provide financially for their family and provide educational opportunities for their children.

Rickshaws Provide Sustainable Livelihood to Families in Pakistan

Rickshaws Provide Sustainable Livelihood to Families in Pakistan

Servant Project for Asia team members have distributed rickshaws to provide a sustainable means of livelihood generation for struggling families in poor communities of Pakistan. Many rickshaw drivers are finding it difficult to come out of the cycle of poverty as they are not able to take their full earnings home because they don’t own their Rickshaw and have to pay high rent for it. Our Rickshaw project has been set up to help Christian Rickshaw drivers to earn a daily income. As they drive passengers they can share the good news of Jesus. Plus, the money saved by them can now be spent to provide food and education to help sustain their family.
